De titel van het expo-tweeluik verwijst naar de vergeten en verborgen inhoud van de kunst, kunst die afhankelijk is van de stromingen en stijlen die het ritme volgen van de modes en de grillen van de tijd en haar culturele weerspiegelingen.
De maan staat voor het zachte licht dat niet zelden romantische bijgedachten opwekt eens de maan zich mengt in het water van de zee of een rivier.
De maan als een poëtisch emanatie van de muse; de maan als de behoeder van het ongerijmde en het ongedachte.
Eb en vloed en het licht en de ‘donkeren kant’ van de maan zijn het decor voor de presentatie van tal van uitmuntende kunstwerken van goede kunstenaars die allen een weerstand vertonen tegen en met met de golfslag van de tijd.
Hun werk laveert niet op de tijd maar mèt de tijd. De kunstwerken genereren beelden die wisselend qua inhoud kunnen worden geïnterpreteerd – al naargelang de wereld en haar beeld verandert zoals dat permanent gebeurt.
Dit tweeluik laat werk zien van binnen en buitenlandse kunstenaars die met de grootste zorg werden verworven en gekoesterd.
Luc Deleu is er twee keer bij; hij is de kunstenaar par excellence die esthetische uitspraken doet over hoe wij leven in een volle omgeving – hij is de architect par excellence die dwars denkt en daaraan thema’s zoals grondschaarste en ecologie koppelt aan soms ‘fantastische” en utopische projecten die hij kan presenteren binnen de kunstwereld.
Het werk van Luc Deleu is hier het koppelteken in de twee delen van “From the moon & From the tide” die (weliswaar) als één geheel de goed doordachte visie laat voelen en zien van verzamelaar/architect Luc Binst.
Maquettes, schilderijen, prenten en fotografie laten de multi-mediale realiteit zien van de actuele en moderne kunst die zich vandaag als een bloemenweide aandient qua inhoud en verschijningsvorm.

The title of the expo diptych refers to the forgotten and hidden content of art, art that depends on the movements and styles that follow the rhythm of the fashions and vagaries of time and its cultural reflections.
The moon represents the soft light that often arouses romantic thoughts once the moon mixes in the water of the sea or a river.
The moon as a poetic emanation of the muse; the moon as the guardian of the absurd and the unthought.
Ebb and flow and the light and the ‘dark side’ of the moon are the setting for the presentation of numerous excellent works of art by good artists who all show a resistance to and with the waves of time.
Their work does not navigate with time, but with time. The works of art generate images that can be interpreted differently in terms of content – as the world and its image changes as it does permanently.
This diptych shows work by domestic and foreign artists who have been acquired and cherished with the greatest care.
Luc Deleu is there twice; he is the artist par excellence who makes aesthetic statements about how we live in a crowded environment – he is the architect par excellence who thinks transversally and links themes such as land scarcity and ecology to sometimes ‘fantastic’ and utopian projects that he can present within the art world.
Luc Deleu’s work is here the hyphen in the two parts of “From the moon & From the tide” which (admittedly) as a whole shows and feels the well-thought-out vision of collector/architect Luc Binst.
Models, paintings, prints and photography show the multi-media reality of contemporary and modern art, which today presents itself as a flower meadow in terms of content and appearance.
